The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi (KNUST) has received 50 printers from Docutech Ghana in a move aimed at strengthening the university’s digital infrastructure and supporting teaching and learning.
A delegation from Docutech, led by its General Manager, Mr. Alhassan Fuseini, paid a courtesy call on university management to formally present the equipment. The team included Mr. Afanu Emmanuel, responsible for sales, and Mr. Ariff Jasny, who oversees enterprise content management, digitization, tenders and e-learning solutions.
Speaking at the meeting, Fuseini reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting KNUST’s digital transformation agenda. He recalled Docutech’s earlier support for the SONSOL project in October and said the new donation aligns with the university’s strategic plan to expand access to modern learning tools.
“As an organization, we believe it is important to invest in the future of Ghana’s students. These printers are part of our corporate social responsibility and our desire to help the university produce globally competitive graduates,” he said.
Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor expressed appreciation on behalf of the university, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.
“This support blows us away,” she said. “You believe in our vision, our mission, and in the young professionals we are training for Ghana, Africa, and the world. Your generosity helps us close the digital divide and strengthens our capacity to deliver quality teaching, learning, and research.”
She said the printers would help reduce operational costs, improve access to learning materials and advance the university’s goal of training internationally competitive graduates.
University management assured Docutech that the equipment would be deployed to support academic work and encouraged the company to sustain the partnership through future initiatives, including student support programmes.
